Carol’s experience in the business travel sector now spans 30+ years.  Starting on the front-line as an (award winning) Business Travel Consultant, Carol’s TMC career history progressed through various management roles – before finally landing in Global Strategic Sales, successfully winning >US$400m of new clients’ travel spend.  Carol also holds valuable experience in the Meetings & Events sector; responsible for strategy, multi-national sales and selection / implementation of M&E technology solution. 

 

In 2009 Carol moved into the field of specialist travel consulting, where she now uses this previous experience for the benefit of her clients – supporting them to achieve measurable improvements in their travel and M&E programmes.  Carol’s particular areas of speciality include TMC and OBT RFPs, leading multi-national implementations, travel policy reviews, programme strategy design, TMC supplier performance management, programme diagnostic checks, benchmarking, supplier contracting and travel risk supplier sourcing.  Carol is the founder of Sage Travel Consulting Ltd., registered and based in the UK.

 

Most recently, during the COVID-19 pandemic, Carol has supported a global pharmaceutical organisation with their Return to Travel strategy - including creation and production of a new travel toolkit for travellers (new travel checklists, approval processes, policy update, FAQs, intranet pages, infographics, surveys etc.) in readiness for when restrictions are eased.
