He joined Marriott International in 1976, working for the first 11 years in a variety of on-property operations and sales & marketing roles. For the remaining 27 years, David held numerous national and global account sales leadership positions.

In 1997, David, as Vice-President, developed and launched Marriott's Alliance Accounts Sales Organization, the lodging industry's first true strategic/total account management selling model. As a result of his work, Marriott received the 2004 Strategic Account Management Program of the Year award from the Strategic Account Management Association (SAMA). This new and innovative sales approach paved the way for how Marriott – and the hotel industry – deploys much of its sales force today.

In each program Stephen led the cross-functional British Airways team and managed the supplier relationship. After a number of promotions, Stephen managed a team of 25 with a budget of £65 million. He also joined the Brand team that redesigned the On Board product.

During the past 20 years, he was General Manager for various markets in Central Europe, and lately, he was a member of the European Board of American Express, setting the strategy for Business Travel in Europe.

Winfried has profound knowledge of the entire European market with focus on Germany, Switzerland and Austria, where he maintains an ever growing network of valuable contacts in all parts of the corporate travel industry. In Russia and Eastern Europe he was one of the early developers of the business travel industry.

Fouche_imgColRiana has worked for a number of airlines and travel companies over the span of her career, holding various senior management positions.  Humble beginnings, she started her career as a retail travel consultant, followed by an operational role at an international airport after which she coordinated marketing for a local travel publication. Her travel career got on track when she joined EgyptAir as National Sales & Marketing Executive, affording her the opportunity to serve on the Star Alliance Marketing Council in South Africa.

She then moved into a National Sales Manager role for three large international airlines: Ethiopian Airlines, Finnair and Air New Zealand. In addition to this, she was also responsible for the sales strategies of a number of smaller, regional airlines. As Sales Manager, she managed to grow airline sales in the territory at a rate which was higher than the IATA average at the time.
