From Business Travel News:

Hackers may have accessed some Delta customers' payment information last fall during a cyberattack on its chat service provider [24] Delta said the hack affected "only a small subset of our customers," and the carrier does not know whether any information was accessed or compromised. The hack did not access customers' personal information, including passport numbers, ID numbers and SkyMiles data, according to Delta. Delta said it will get in touch directly with customers who might have been affected and will make sure those customers are not responsible for any fraudulent credit card activity that occurs as a result. The hack occurred from Sept. 26 through Oct. 12, and [24] notified Delta about it last week. Another [24] client, Sears, reported that the attack accessed fewer than 100,000 of Sears/Kmart customers' credit card information.
