From Business Travel News:

2017 marked a year of regulatory impacts both in the U.S. and in Europe, from U.S. President Donald Trump's travel bans to the EU Commission's final direction on the General Data Privacy Regulation. BTN's 2017 25 Most Influential, announced at BTN Group's Business Travel Trends & Forecasts conference in New York today, recognized those individuals and 23 others. The influences include mergers, as well as dissolving partnerships, that affected not only travel managers but also travelers. BTN also named one individual for something that didn't happen: Outgoing Amtrak CEO Charles "Wick" Moorman distinguished his leadership tenure by avoiding the so-called Summer of Hell that New York Governor Andrew Cuomo had predicted as the railroad repaired its track system at Pennsylvania Station from mid-July through Labor Day.

BTN's annual list recognizes those who have made major impacts on the industry, most of which are positive, though BTN's editorial team also recognizes the negative effects of certain industry players.
